Radio Interview - Let’s talk about urban planning

I was fortunate to be invited to Tim Wong-See morning radio show on the ABC Sunshine Coast to talk about everyone’s favourite issue – urban planning and transport.

This was my first ‘official’ radio interview, and while I started slow, taking in this new environment of headphones, microphones and flashing lights, we ended up with an interesting discussion of what many places are now facing – not just in my home of the Sunshine Coast.

Tim was an excellent host, asking some tough questions raised by his listeners, but I think also from his own experience of being a recent resident in our city, carefully understanding the going-ons of everyday living.

We discuss, infrastructure delivery, funding transportation, politics and the key thing of ensuring urban planning and transport are carefully considered and integrated.

It’s very important that these types of discussions a about subject such as urban planning are publicly accessible and afforded more opportunities to happen regularly, as it only helps in a more equitable and democratic evolution of our cities.

Hope you enjoy this little discussion.
